News outlets are reporting today that County Councilman Chuck McCullough (R-Upper Saint Clair) has turned himself for the crimes that committed roughly two years ago. As you may recall, McCullough was found to have stolen checks from an elderly client and written contributions to local political campaigns. He was already on the ballot for County…
We Take Care of Our Own
| January 10, 2008 | Posted by engagedcitizen under 2007 November General Election, Government, Pittsburgh, Politics |
The post-gazette reports today that some of those left unemployed by the November elections have nothing to worry about. Thanks to an insiders network, these guys have simply moved from one City branch/department/agency to another. Like in other levels of government, there was no competitive process to fill these jobs (some of which appear to…

| November 8, 2007 | Posted by Race for PGH under 2007 November General Election, Blogs, Pittsburgh, Uncategorized |
But I have come across 2 different blog post of non-political bloggers that both noticed that there was a reference to Ravenstahl on Monday night foot ball. Why yesterday’s election was bad news for Pittsburgh Democrats
| November 8, 2007 | Posted by andrea under 2007 November General Election, ACDC, Elections, Pittsburgh, Rant |
Without going too overboard on our now-elected mayor’s shortcomings (and hey, what human being doesn’t have a few flaws), it seems to me that yesterday’s election proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Pittsburgh Dems could run a stuffed panda bear in the general and beat any candidate the Republicans could offer. I’m with Pittgirl – the old…

A bit presumptious
| November 2, 2007 | Posted by Seenster under 2007 November General Election, Events, Pittsburgh |

Since Luke and his staff have already decided that he has been elected, he apparently all ready has a full day of events the Tuesday following the election. Does anyone else…

It is not time for Klein
| October 31, 2007 | Posted by insider under 2007 November General Election, Elections, Endorsements, Pittsburgh |
I have been thinking about who is running a good campaign. I don’t know much about the drink tax issue but I do know that the people who oppose it are running a great campaign. Regardless of who you support for mayor, I give some credit to the DeSantis team for turning a non race…
