History-Making Rally, Tues., Oct. 20, 10-12 noon, State Capitol, Harrisburg, PA

HealthCare4ALLPA, a non-partisan, state-wide, all-volunteer citizen campaign educating Pennsylvanians and State Legislators on the Single Payer Solution (HB1660 and SB400), calls for a massive rally on the steps of the Capitol Building in Harrisburg, PA, on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Join thousands of single payer supporters — patients and providers, workers and owners, mothers and fathers, children and retirees, and with diverse co-sponsors:

Former CIGNA Executive Wendell Potter, California Nurses Association organizer Donna Smith and HealthCare4ALLPA Executive Director Chuck Pennacchio are all confirmed speakers. Additionally, HealthCare4ALLPA has announced that it will hold a video contest leading up to the October 20th rally. Contestants should submit to video@ healthcare4allpa.org a video of three (3) minutes or less, explaining why you support single payer healthcare reform. Entries will be judged by the October 20th Organizing Committee, and the three (3) winning videos (based on originality and clarity of point) will be placed on www.healthcare4allpa.org.

Similar to our Declaration and our Constitution, Pennsylvania is poised to adopt, and model for our nation, single payer (publicly-funded, privately-delivered healthcare for all) — the known answer to our hospital, provider, and funding crises.
