- Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Columbus snooze on infrastructure wish list (From GLUE newsletter) – Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Columbus snooze on infrastructure wish list: The administration-elect has made revitalization of our nation's crumbling infrastructure a priority, and nowhere is that needed more than in the older industrial cities of the Great Lakes mega-region. Yet, as of yesterday, these three cities have failed to publicize their infrastructure wish-lists, falling behind hundreds of municipalities throughout the country. It's time our local leaders woke up and realized that federal aid isn't just going to land in their laps.
- Judge Flaherty injured in Downtown pedestrian accident – "I was more than half way across the street. So the car kept coming. I thought it was someone I knew, maybe jagging around,"

Well, in their defense, I would be a bit touchy
about my requests due to the Grinch of Harrisburg’s Holiday Past Census Reports in August 2008.
I mean after all, who is going to be around to use it?

How would you like having to request Billions of Dollars in Infrastructure Money when the Wizard of
Harrisburg is publishing census population reports
like the Census of on August 30, 2008.

I guess the ole’ Grinch of Central Pennsylvania
has to figure out a way to send some of the money
to Western Pa Region over the river, and through the woods via the Public Turnpikes.
Maybe he can send it up Rt 48 across Maryland disguised as apples, and sneak it up I-79 before West Virginia gets a sniff of it.
However, the Ohioan Injuns around Wheeling were always a problem, and I suspect they’ll be sneakin up on it too.
I don’t think the northern route via Ft. Lebouf
& down French Creek to the Rt 8 will work because I’m sure those pesky Iroquois around the New York (Albany) border will have plenty of raiding parties ready to pounce.
Forbes Trail is definitely out of the question
since Laurel Mtn. state ski center is no more
a safe harbor.
Tough navigation strategies to decide for Camp Hill.
I’ll try this once more.
On the GLUE Newsletter about the snoozing cities.
For Pittsburgh, I can’t say I blame them for fumbling a bit.
After all, when your own Governor’s office in
Harrisburg publishes Western Pa population Census predictions through 2025 on August 30 2008, and these predictions represent a net decrease in population in the seven county western Pa region of roughly 11%, I would have difficulty asking Santa for money too!!!!!
You don’t shoot the messenger, I’m only trying to
be reasonable about the logic regarding repayment.
I don’t think Washington, and Mr. Obama are planning to give this ca$h away without strings?
