Denver: Thursday — Did you see me on CNN?

I got prime real estate on the floor of the convention right behind where CNN was broadcasting. I was between Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper. I couple of people texted me and said they saw me.
Wow. That’s what Mike kept texting me all night. Wow. Joe Biden was fantastic, Bill Clinton was terrific, and Hillary Clinton was a real class act. It was amazing to cast my vote for Barack Obama earlier in the day, and even more amazing when the whole arena shouted “Aye” to nominate him as President. The whole night was electric. I cheered so loud and so long that I am hoarse this morning.
Things have been crazy busy this morning, and we have to get to Invesco Field early today, so don’t have much time to do a full report right now. Rest assured, I will wrap everything up with lots of pictures tomorrow.
But I did want to tell you one thing about Joe Biden (other than how much his speech absolutely rocked last night). He came to our PA delegation breakfast this morning, and spoke. He gave a great speech, and the Post Gazette did a nice article on it. But the thing that impressed me the most is that he stayed for about 45 minutes after his 15-minute address, to shake hands with, and get pictures with, everyone who wanted to talk to him. Most politicians give you a real quick handshake, and you don’t get much of an opportunity to get a picture, but he really took time with everyone. He was very gracious. So here’s my picture with the next Vice President of the United States (yes, I’m knocking on wood even as I type this).
