One Hill CBA Coalition Fighting for Good Jobs and Other Benefits From Arena Development
The One Hill CBA Coalition has been fighting since September to ensure that the publicly funded development of the new Penguins Arena returns real benefits to the community. The Penguins are the developer for the arena and the land where the current Mellon arena sits. They have been unwilling to guarantee that Hill District residents would have access to the jobs and that the jobs would be family sustaining jobs with health benefits. They have also not agreed to reinvest in the Hill through a program that has been successful in other parts of the city. A victory for the One Hill Coalition would set a model for how development should be done in Pittsburgh.
Please come to a special hearing sponsored by County Councilman William Robinson to show your support for One Hill and your support for Community Benefits Agreement in Pittsburgh.
